Forge Your Future at UC Riverside

An education at UC Riverside is unparalleled. Here, our more than 26,000 bold and brilliant students — a majority of whom are first-generation or underrepresented minorities — forge the future, engaging in research and experiential learning that has the potential to transform their lives and their communities.

Here, open hearts meet open minds. Our students know that belonging, motivation, and sustainable progress are inspired by a shared commitment to creating a community where diversity equals vitality — and support equals success. The National Science Foundation ranked us No. 3 nationally for Hispanic STEM graduates, and we’re No. 4 for Pell Grant student performance among 444 universities nationwide, according to Washington Monthly.

Across our major programs, learning happens both inside and outside of the classroom, with students exploring their greatest passions — and finding creative solutions to the most pressing problems in our increasingly interconnected world.

Here, Anything Is Possible

For four consecutive years, UC Riverside has been named the top public university in the nation for social mobility by U.S. News & World Report. We’re in the top 15% of institutions in the U.S. for our overall graduation rate — a testament to our commitment to lifting students up through our vast support services. Insider named us No. 2 in the country for financial aid, and we were named a top 12 public university in Forbes’ “America’s Best Value Colleges.”

Our students are educated and elevated by our award-winning faculty — including two Nobel Prize winners and 28 members of the National Academies — and have a built-in support system through our Academic Resource Center. Combined with opportunities through programs such as University Honors and Education Abroad, their possibilities are truly limitless.

More Than an Education

At UCR, we celebrate our students’ authentic selves. That means giving them a place to enjoy total well-being — from ensuring their campus safety to offering inclusive housing options. We also provide spaces that promote both physical and mental health and well-being, as well as resources to help with career counseling.

R’Kids ensures our student parents experience a family friendly campus where they and their children can thrive, and R’Pantry provides students in need with access to food and other necessities — including fresh produce from our campus R’Garden.

And with more than 450 student organizations, we’re certain our students will find their place — and lifelong friends — at UCR.
